About the project
Readora is a story library made for young children — picture books to turn page
by page, stories read by a narrator, and stories the phone can read aloud.
Open it and there is a shelf of stories. Tap one and it opens. There is nothing
else on the screen: no feed, no comments, no messages, no adverts, and no way
for anyone to reach a child using it.
FOUR WAYS TO READ
Picture books, turned a page at a time, with pinch to zoom for the artwork.
Audio stories read by a narrator.
Read-aloud: the words on the page, spoken by the phone, with a choice of up
to five voices and adjustable speed.
Picture stories that turn their own pages while the words are read underneath.
BUILT FOR CHILDREN, AND FOR THE PARENT WHO INSTALLED IT
No advertising of any kind, and no advertising network inside the app.
No account, no sign-in, no password. Nothing asks a child for a name, an
email address, a photograph or a location.
No chat, no comments, no user-to-user contact.
Anything that leaves the app — the subscription screen, the store listing, a
shared link — is behind a question a young child cannot answer.
Notifications are off until a parent turns them on.
FOR READING ANYWHERE
Download a story before a journey and it is kept on the device. Favourites and
your place in a story are remembered, so a book reopens where it was left.
QUIETER AT BEDTIME
Night reading dims the whole app: softer pages, gentler colours.
READORA PREMIUM
Readora includes free stories. An optional subscription unlocks the rest of the
library and adds:
Every story in the catalogue, of all four kinds.
Reading your downloads with no signal at all — on a plane, in the car,
anywhere. Downloading itself is free.
All five read-aloud voices.
Night reading.
The subscription is offered monthly, six-monthly or yearly. The price and the
billing period are shown by Google Play, in your own currency, before anything
is charged. It renews automatically until cancelled, and it can be cancelled at
any time in Google Play under Subscriptions — cancelling stops the next charge
and the period already paid for runs to its end. Payment is handled entirely by
Google Play; Readora never sees card details.
PRIVACY
Readora collects no personal information from children. There is no account to
create and no profile to build, nothing is sold or shared with data brokers or
advertising networks, and there is no advertising in the app to share it with.
What the app does send — an anonymous install code, crash diagnostics, and a
purchase receipt if a subscription is bought — is set out in full in the privacy
policy.
Tayeb Mahmud did an amazing job developing my Readora app. He is professional, creative, and very dedicated to his work. He understood my ideas clearly and turned them into a beautiful, modern, and user-friendly app.
I really appreciate his hard work, communication, attention to detail, and commitment throughout the project. I’m very happy with the final result and would highly recommend Tayeb Mahmud to anyone looking for a skilled and reliable app developer.
Thank you, Tayeb, for bringing my Readora app idea to life! ❤️👏
